Submission Instructions
The following instructions are intended to guide you through the submission process for Tapia 2009. These instructions include how to fill out the online submission form (required for all tracks) as well as specific instructions for each track. Please read carefully and follow the directions in order to ensure that your submission is properly reviewed. Also, please note that these instructions do not apply to Robotics Competition submissions. Robotics Competition submissions must be made at: http://www.cs.duke.edu/csed/tapia09
General Submission Requirements
All submissions with the exception of the Robotics Competition ( ie. Papers, Panels, Workshops, Birds-of-a-Feather, Posters, and Doctoral Consortium) require that the following information be provided through the online submission form that can be found at: http://www.easychair.org/conferences?conf=tapia2009
- Correspondence Address and Fax Number
- Corresponding Author - Please enter the corresponding author (or workshop organizer, panel leader, or birds-of-a-feather leader) in the first Author form field and check the corresponding author checkbox.
- Additional Authors – All additional authors (panelists, workshop presenters, etc.) should be entered into the Author 2, Author 3, etc. fields on the form. If you need more than three entries, please click on the “Click here to add more authors” link.
- Title and Abstract. Please include the title of your submission and an abstract of 100 words or less.
- Group – Please indicate which group the lead author (workshop organizer, panel leader, BOF organizer, etc.) belongs to: faculty, undergraduate student, graduate student, or other.
- Keywords – Please list at least two keywords that characterize your submission.
- Upload Paper – Please upload your main document ( papers up to 6 pages, 1-page panel summary, 1-page workshop summary, 1-page BOF summary, 2-page poster extended abstract, 3-4 page doctoral consortium summary).
Additional Submission Requirements
In addition to the online form, all Panel, Workshop, Birds-of-a-Feather and Doctoral Consortium submissions require an additional template to be filled out and uploaded. To download a template, click the appropriate link below:

Once the template is filled out, please submit it as a .pdf attachment in the “Upload Paper” section of the online submission form. For the Doctoral Consortium, please put the template and supporting documents (cv, research abstract, etc.) in a single .zip file and upload the .zip file as an attachment.
