Robin is a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Michigan in the School of Information. Her research focuses on developing interfaces to help digitally isolated communities communicate with their social networks. Robin received her PhD in Technology & Social Behavior from Northwestern University, MS in Human-Centered Computing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed internships at General Electric, Carnegie Mellon University, IBM, Facebook, and Microsoft Research. Robin will discuss her career path and decision to pursue this postdoc instead of tenure-track and industry offers she received.
